Fisherman's Processings' Gourmet Home-Style Canned Albacore and Pacific Ahi is the finest canned fish available today. We start with only the finest quality fish, caught on the San Diego-based sportfishing fleet by anglers like yourself. Fisherman’s Processings' canned tuna is canned in the U.S.A. Our canning facility is completely FDA and HACCP certified, ensuring the highest quality of U.S.A. standards. The canning process is hand done, just like you would do it in your own home.
First the fish is filleted and the uncooked meat is hand weighed and packed into the cans. Next, we add fresh olive oil or spring water and a pinch of salt. Then an “EZ Pull Tab” lid is seamed to the filled can. The fish in the can is then cooked by steam in a digital re-tort. The process of cooking the fish one time in the can ensures that the essential Omega 3 fatty acids are retained in the can. This process has earned our product a “Rich in Omega 3” label. Fisherman’s Processing now offers Pacific Ahi in Olive Oil or Natural and Albacore tuna in Olive Oil or Natural.
